New York // The Civil Service Cafe

(null)I wrote about this place before. I came here for the first time back in October, and I liked it so much that I had to go back again, so so I did. Located in Bedford-Stuyvesant area, the black facade with the bright red door intrigues and attracts customers to come inside of The Civil Service Cafe.(null)

Inside the place is decorated with industrial yet simple interior like stools, concrete tables, and black benches that lets you sit along the window and look at life that is going on beyond the windows.

The Civil Service Cafe has all one could ask for – great decoration, nice staff, amazing coffee, breakfast, lunch and last but not least – cake. With breakfast opportunities like kale salad, egg sandwich made with rye bread or a frittata the cafe gives you a great and healthy start of the day. Their lunch menu is also healthy, offering you soups, salads, and sandwiches.(null)

Their selection of cakes and pastries varies, but if they have their carrot cake, you should definitely go for it!(null)

This cafe makes me want to move to Brooklyn right away. I would come here every day for my coffee. While enjoying the coffee I would act busy typing on my Macbook, and taking occasional breaks looking thoughtfully out of the window. Yes, that is a New York scenario I could see myself in.
