♥ 45 questions to guarantee you’ll never have a boring date again – 45 pretty interesting questions from ThoughtCatalog one could also ask oneself.

StumbleUpon – a media portal that lets you choose your interest and then finds you interesting articles from the internet. I can spend hours browsing through my StumpleUpon feed that never ends. StumpleUpon lets me find like “six amazing beauty hacks” or “living alone vs living with flatmates” all based on my interests and of course all of these articles are essential for me to spend hours on reading, like I didn’t have enough to follow up on with Instagram, Facebook and Bloglovin.

♥ I want a flower dress like these.

55 things that look just like your childhood. Great article my friend sent me. I forgot so many of them and remember almost all of them.

This Danish blogger Emma Martiny was in Berlin for New Years and she made eight cute video blogs about her days in Berlin. I love Berlin and I love seeing where other people go when they are in Berlin.

Things I don’t get

♥ Why so many bathrooms have strip lights. There is nothing worse than being in a restaurant and going to the bathroom and you look yourself in the mirror and what you see is something that looks more like a crack … (pardon my French) than yourself.

♥ Why the world is so much easier for people that love getting up early in the morning than for people who hate it. Every morning I curse myself and I curse early mornings and I wish that I was better at getting up in the morning or going to bed early.

♥ Why unhealthy food tastes so much better than healthy food. It would be so much easier if I craved salat and quinoa every night instead of burger and fries.

♥ Why girls (at least me) have a build in plug in that forces us to overanalyse and dramatize way too much. It would be so liberating if we didn’t have to spend hours thinking about what the guy really meant in his text and we could just see a text the same way a guy sees it.

♥ How every girl I follow on Instagram manage to live (or at least make it seem like) so good, look so good, eat so healthy, work out, wear amazing clothes, dress up and have perfect hair and make up. How do they do it?

How I get things done

10943416_10153007501012310_1346023285_n

In a world where more and more people get stressed because we are busy the whole time. There is always a to do list hanging on us, always unread e-mails to answer and always a friend to write back on Facebook. Today it is almost glamourised to be busy the whole time, but sometimes it also gets to much and it is important to take care of yourself but not least focus on the important stuff and get it done. Here are my tips for getting things done:

♥ Get up in the morning – this is one of the steps where I feel incredibly accomplished – if I manage to get up early in the morning. I love sleeping in but sleeping in takes many hours of your day that you could have spent on more important things. If you have a lot of stuff to do getting up in the morning is a good idea.

♥ Good start of the day – take your time in the morning to get showered, dress nicely and have a good breakfast and take five minutes on your own to set the mood of the day, let the thoughts go and be zen for a moment. Leave your phone and computer and just take a moment to breathe and relax.

♥ To do list – after taking five minutes to yourself it is time to get started. Write a to do list. The beauty of  to do lists is the feeling you get when you got your bullets done – accomplished. But to do lists can also be impossible to do if you put too many tasks on them. Be realistic and if you have to many things on it you really don’t feel like doing, don’t do them all in one day because that will just kill your mood and ruin your day.

♥ Eat the biggest frog first – if you have one bad or annoying task on your to do list that you don’t really feel like doing, don’t postpone it or skip it. Get it over with as the first thing and that way you will have the rest of the day to do the stuff that you’d rather do.

♥ Single tasking – I wrote about this before. Single tasking is the new multi tasking. Do one thing at a time, focus on the particular task and get it done, and move on to the next one. By doing this you don’t have thousand things in your head at the same time and single tasking will let you focus a 100% on what you are doing right now. If for example one of your to do’s says: read e-mails and answer them, take an hour to do this single task and afterwards it is fully done and you don’t have to think about it anymore.

♥ Take time to do stuff you enjoy without feeling guilty – a day of to do’s also needs some procastination. Take a break and don’t feel guilty if you spend an hour in bed watching Netflix. As long as you don’t spend a whole doing it when you promised yourself to get other things done. You have to sow before you can reap, and there is no better feeling than spoil yourself after getting a lot of things done.

Distrikt Coffee

Last weekend I spent my Saturday at Distrikt Coffee in Mitte, another recently opened coffee place with great breakfast. Distrikt Coffee is one of those places where the furniture and decoration is so beautiful that you know from first sight that it is going to be good.

The café has raw brick walls, wooden chairs and tables that invite guests to sit side by side at the big tables and enjoy their breakfast and coffee.

The menu card offers different breakfast options such as pancakes, granola and yogurt, fruit, eggs and sandwiches and at the counter you will find Distrikt Coffees famous bread pudding, croissant and other delicious cakes. Distrikt Coffee also brews awesome coffee and  they use different beans for example from the all time favorite The Barn in Berlin.

When I visited the café I definetly wasn’t the only one who got the idea that Saturday morning, so it seems like that the place is already very popular, and that only makes sense because what more can you ask for than good coffee, delicious breakfast and beautiful decoration on a Saturday morning?
