Neta // Berlin recommendation

 

 

One of my favorite things about Berlin is the fact that the city is always busy and something new and exciting always happens. At least one time a week a new place, café or restaurant is opening, and for this week it was Neta’s turn to open the doors to the public – Mexican Street Food that dragged food lovers to Mitte to try the Mexican street food. Neta opened around a week ago close to my boyfriend’s apartment and we’ve been walking by before the opening many times only waiting for it to open, because just looking at the place assured us that it was going to be good. And it was.

We went there last night and the place was packed, so we are not the only ones who loved the idea of indulging in great Mexican food on a normal Wednesday night.

The place is beautifully decorated with simple yet exciting furniture, red stools, neon pink wallpaper and lightchains that almost give you the feeling that you are in Mexico.

The menu card contains burritos, tacos and quesadillas and you can either choose to mix your own meal or to get a burrito with titles like “Jesus” or “Radolfo”. We had a hard time choosing what to eat because everything looked and sounded good, so we ended up trying almost everything on the menu card, and it was all good. We rinsed down the meal with maracuja drinks which literally tasted like heaven – at least so good that we had four of them.

We also got to talk to the owners – three really nice friends that were all working their butts off because they take care of everything from making the natural, homemade food, lemonade, drinks and pork cracklings and yet they still had energy to be filled with happiness which reflected on the mood in the restaurant and gave us a great experience.

Being a big fan of good Mexican food I am so excited that Berlin now has another Mexican place to offer, and it will definetly be one of my new favorite places to go eat, whether it is for lunch, dinner or a late night snack.
