A mixed girl – Jane König jewelry

Haha! Hvad farve smykker bruger I?

English: I am pretty lucky and happy at the moment, and this feeling was just emphasized when I had dinner in Berlin with the PR-girls from the Danish jewelry brand Jane König the other day.  Not only did we have a nice dinner and a really good time with good talks, I also left with four new pieces of jewelry. Two pair of earrings and these with diamonds, a love letter necklace and a gold bracelet. We had a funny conversations when the girls asked me “so what are you? A gold, silver or oxidized girl?”. I thought about it for a brief moment and my answer was “I don’t know! I guess I just like jewelry”, and that is my answer 😉 So now, over to you! Interrogation. What are you? Gold or silver fans?

I am so happy for my new jewelry, and especially the bracelet I have been wearing constantly. It is so simple, yet beautiful and goes well with everything, and best of it all – it is just “there”. No need to take it on or off, says the lazy girl aka me. 😉 The necklace is also a perfect gift idea for someone you care about, as it can be customized with what love letters you decide. The love letters come in different colors and with different symbols or letters and can be combined however you want them.

Thank you so much Jane König <3

Stay in Hamburg: 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt

ENGLISH: Ever dreamt about staying a night in an former harbour office now turned in to one of the most hippest hotels in the center of Hamburg? I have, and last week in Hamburg I was so lucky to be invited to spend a night at the recently opened 25hours hotel Altes Hafenamt located in the HafenCity district of Hamburg. The hotel is brand new, five weeks old to be exact, but it was already perfectly decorated and everything on point.

The hotel is fairly small, it holds 49 rooms, but this is part of the charm. The hotel offers four different type of rooms, and I stayed in the xl-room, and it was amazing. I seriously wish that I could have taken most of the interior and style out of the room and brought it back home to my own apartment. There was an amazing, big bed, which is key for a good nights sleep when traveling. Then there was a cool book-shelve system, a big TV, a nice chill out “lounge” and, last but not least, great and spacious bathroom. My boyfriend and I loved the room so much that we decided to stay in a whole night and only went out to get dinner to come back right after. Yep, it was a really good bed 😉

After a good nights sleep, it was time for breakfast, and you guys know me. I love food! I am the kind of person that literally lives to eat and looks forward to the next meal as soon as I finish another. And, the breakfast buffet at 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt, which for the record, also has a Neni Restaurant as in Berlin, fully lived up to my expectations. This buffet held everything one could wish for – from breakfast classics such as scramble eggs, bacon and toast, to more Mediterranean inspired foods like hummus, tzatziki and olives, and not to forget the sweet stuff. There was a yogurt bar where one could mix their own breakfast bowl with different granolas, fruits and nuts. Yummy!

After breakfast and a bit more chilling in the room, as our amazing receptionist Rafael let us check out a little later than usually, it was time for us to head out and be tourists, and here we get to the best part of it all; 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt offers free bikes! How amazing is that? My favorite way to explore and get around cities is by biking, and how convenient is it that the hotel offers free bikes to their guests? And the bikes where beautiful! We had the best time biking around Hamburg on the hip and beautiful Pelago bikes, and we had such a great night staying at the 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt, whether it was the beautiful, old building, the cozy room, the breakfast, the friendly staff or the bikes that did it, or simply a mixture of them all! I would really recommend you to start planning a getaway to Hamburg asap, as it is definitely a great destination for a short weekendtrip!

Thank you, 25hours hotel Altes Hafenamt for an unforgettable experience!

Hej papa – cafe in Hamburg

HEJPAPA hamburg

English: The three days I spent in Hamburg were all about relaxing and just walking around exploring the neighborhoods of Hamburg with no set agenda or schedule. Just how I like it! On our second day in Hamburg we stumbled upon this cute, little cafe named hej papa. The cafe has a great location in the Neustadt/central area of Hamburg and right next to the big botanical garden Planten und Blomen. We headed in for a coffee break and I got very close to eating here, because the food menu sounded so delicious. hej papa creates a new menu every week with solid homely meals such as käsespätzle, roast beef or tortellini. Everything is homemade, looked and smelled delicious. As we had almost just had breakfast, I opted for a cappuccino and an orange thick yogurt with raspberry sauce and granola, and it was so good. I’d definitely come back here to try the lunch options on my next trip to Hamburg!

What do I actually do? SOS the studio

_MG_1090 Sos the studio SOS the studio fashion SOS the studio fashion in Berlin SOS the studio Berlin Silver Stories blog SOS the studio Scandinavian fashion SOS the studio Caroline Sølver for SOS the studio _MG_1671

English: The other day I posted a blog post about SOS the studio, an awesome Berlin/Scandinavian fashion brand that also happens to the be company I work for. I feel like I have never gone to much into detail about what I actually do in my everyday life here on the blog, besides traveling of course. Well, the truth is, I actually do work! In this post I will give you a little bit of an insight to what I actually do and what my job contains.

SOS the studio is a fairly new fashion label opened by two Danish people. They lived in Berlin for many years, which means that the brand is a Berlin based fashion label with Scandinavian roots and style. They opened their two first stores in Berlin in September 2015, and a few weeks later I heard about them, I decided to write SOS the studio seeing if they had any job positions for someone like me. I have earlier worked in the process of starting of new companies, and it is something I really find interesting – to be in a new company from the beginning and to help the company set base and start from scratch. This is where one is really able to come up with good ideas and to try them out.

Next thing I knew, I got a phonecall from my (now) boss, saying that they would love to have me in for an interview. A week later I got the job as a communication-PR-and social media manager at SOS the studio, and I, of course, was very happy.

So next – what does my work contain? I work four-six days a week from one of the stores in Berlin, and my tasks vary a lot. One day I might have a meeting with a colleague, my bosses or a blogger about a future collaboration. Another day I take pictures for our social media channel and write texts to post with the pictures, when I upload them. Then I also work a lot with our graphic designer. I come up with marketing ideas and together with the graphic designer we make the actual outcome such as store events, shopping campaigns and online competitions for social media. I also planned the photoshoot we had back in January for our online store. All in all, my job tasks are very versatile, and usually no day is similar. This is what I love about the job, the fact that I am able to wear so many hats and to work as anything from sales person, talking to the customers and selling clothes, write comments and take pictures for social media, plan events and marketing strategies and make sure that everything works good in the company.
